This Strawberry Lemonade Refresher is a healthy homemade lemonade flavored with ripe strawberries and sweetened with honey. The perfect refreshing, kid-friendly drink for spring and summer!
I love this time of year.
Happily singing birds, soft green grass for picnics and to let energetic toddlers run, cheery sunlight flooding into the house…it’s SPRING!
After the dark winter months and snowy days, I welcome these warm, sunny days and the fresh start they bring.
These days also call for a cool, refreshing drink!
Strawberry Lemonade Refresher
Other than “plain” water or basic flavored waters, it can be difficult to find a naturally-sweet drink that doesn’t contain refined sugar or unnecessary additives. Sometimes, homemade is the best way to go.
Thankfully, this is a super-quick and easy way to make a delicious drink the whole family will love! Most lemonade recipes require boiling sugar and water in a saucepan to dissolve the sugar and create a simple syrup. This recipe, however, uses honey as a sweetener, so there’s no need to dirty another pan or wait for water to boil! Just whiz the ingredients in a blender, and it’s ready in just a few minutes!
Using Meyer lemons gives the lemonade a slightly sweeter flavor, but you can use any fresh lemon juice.
Variations to Consider
Feel free to tweak the recipe to your liking. Here are some ideas:
- Make it even more fun for the kids by blending in a few ice cubes to create a “slushy” texture.
- For an adult version, add a splash of alcohol of choice.
- To make strawberry limeade, use fresh lime juice in place of the lemon juice.
- For irresistible party drinks, garnish each glass with a strawberry or lemon slice, and add a colorful paper drinking straw!

Ingredients
- 1 lb strawberries, washed and stems removed
- juice of 2 Meyer lemons
- 1/3 cup honey (or to taste)
- 4 cups cold water, divided
Instructions
- Combine strawberries, lemon juice, honey, and 2 cups water into a powerful blender. Blend on high until smooth, approximately 1-2 minutes.
- Pour into a large pitcher and stir in remaining 2 cups water. If necessary, add more sweetener to taste.
- Serve over ice.
