Homemade Chai Spice Mix is simple to make and perfect to have on hand for the fall months. Create a cup of caffeine-free chai tea, or mix the comforting spice blend into baked goods and desserts!

Homemade Chai Spice Mix
When signs of the fall season start to appear, I begin craving cooler days and nights sipping a soothing warm drink. My all-time favorite is this homemade Vanilla Chai (with or without the caffeine!).
It makes sense for chai to be my #1 hot drink, since my favorite spice has always been cinnamon (I now buy the large canister from big box stores!), and I am not AT ALL shy about generously sprinkling cinnamon onto various foods, like oatmeal, smoothies, cookies, my homemade yogurt, pancakes, French toast, sweet potatoes, butternut squash, sliced apples…I could go on and on! I also really enjoy cardamom, and have added it into my easy baked granola recipe because I love it so much.
In addition to cinnamon and cardamom, the other spices in this chai spice mix include: nutmeg, cloves, and ginger. (Some versions of chai will add black pepper, but I do not include it in this recipe.)
