Save money on groceries using rebate apps! This 7-day series explores the many apps available to give you FREE cash just for buying your groceries! Today we’re talking about Snap.
Day 7: Snap by Groupon
This is Day 7 (the last day) of the Grocery Rebate Apps series, and today is all about the Snap by Groupon app.
What is Snap?
The Snap by Groupon app is another easy way to receive cash back without clipping paper coupons. Use the app (or website) to select offers, purchase items online or in the store, and get cash in your account!
How to Use the Snap App
Sign up for a free account with Snap to begin browsing the available grocery offers. Offers vary from essentials like milk and bread to household items such as cleaning supplies.
Often, you can earn cash back on buying multiples of the same item. Pay attention to the item description to be sure.
After purchasing items at any retailer, submit a picture of your receipt using the app (or upload your photo using a PC). Snap will credit cash to your account according to the offer amounts for the items you bought.
Once you have $20 in your account, go to “My Account” and choose “Cash Out” to request a check from Snap. You’ll receive your check in about 2 weeks.
Snap is completely free to use; however, if you do not redeem any offers during 12 consecutive months, Snap may begin to charge a monthly fee until your balance is zero (you will never owe money).
*UPDATE: As of March 1, 2016, Snap transitioned from product-specific rebates to retailer-specific promotions. Use the app for cash back savings at retail stores, but you’ll no longer find rebates for grocery/household items. Browse current retail promotions on Groupon’s coupon page.
