Save money on groceries using rebate apps! This 7-day series explores the many apps available to give you FREE cash just for buying your groceries! Today we’re talking about Checkout 51.
Day 3: Checkout 51
Today is Day 3 of the Grocery Rebate Apps series! Let’s learn about Checkout 51.
What is Checkout 51?
Checkout 51 is another rebate app similar to Ibotta, which sometimes has the same product offers, so you can get twice the rebates on the same item! And, the cash back you earn is in addition to any printable coupons you use at the store!
How to Use the Checkout 51 App
It is really as simple as selecting offers you want to buy, purchasing the products, and uploading your receipt to Checkout 51. You can select offers through the app or website (no smartphone required!).
I love that I can shop anywhere—my local grocery store, drugstore, warehouse club, or even online! Unless the offer states a restriction, ANY receipt is valid to submit. (This is one difference I’ve found from the Ibotta app; Ibotta does not accept receipts from ALDI, for example.)
New weekly offers are available Thursday through Wednesday, so be sure to upload your receipt(s) before midnight each Wednesday to receive your credit.
Sometimes an offer will allow you to buy multiples of the same item and get multiple cash back! Use this to your advantage when items are on sale the same week as the rebate offer (it happens often!). Check the limit amount listed in the item’s description to find the maximum number of that specific item you can buy. (For example, in the offer below, earn $0.75 cash back for each King Arthur Gluten Free Mix; you may buy up to two mixes for a total of $1.50 cash back.)
After you have $20 in your account, you can cash out and receive a check by mail, which may take 2-3 weeks.
