Homemade fruit sauce comes together quickly and delivers amazing flavor with only two ingredients!
Uses for this fruit sauce are endless; try stirring some into your breakfast oatmeal or yogurt, topping waffles, pancakes, or crepes (YUM), or even—did you guess?—drizzle it over your favorite ice cream.
Homemade fruit sauce is adaptable, too—use fresh or frozen fruit, try a mixture of berries (great for using up leftovers!), mix in spices like cinnamon or ginger, stir in a splash of your favorite fruit juice.
Berries and stone fruits—peaches, cherries, plums, apricots, and nectarines—are the best to use for a fruit sauce. If the fruit you use is tart, stir in a small amount of honey or sugar to balance the flavors.
Try serving this homemade fruit sauce at your next brunch or dessert party. Your guests will never know it was so simple to make!
