We all know what Valentine’s Day brings…
Love notes? Flowers?
Actually, I was going to say SUGAR.
You know, the habit of unapologetically devouring all the chocolates and candy you can possibly handle (or so you think)…until it’s too late and you’re sick to your stomach!
I don’t know about you, but I’m determined to have a healthier Valentine’s Day this year. (Although, I’m not going to sacrifice the indulgent flavors chocolates bring. Yum!)
How am I going to do this?
Well, for the last several weeks, I’ve been compiling some amazing recipes of sweet treats that are actually “good” for you—these recipes do not have any refined white sugar; instead, they’re sweetened with honey or maple syrup, or include ripe bananas or dates. And the best part is, your sweetie probably won’t even notice the difference if you gaze into his eyes and tell him you baked a special homemade dessert…just for him!
Try it.
(Or, make these indulgences for yourself and hide them from the rest of your family. You won’t be alone!)
Either way, Happy Valentine’s Day! Enjoy these flavorful treats without the guilt!
